April 24th, 2008I went home everyday with my brain hurting. It was a 3 day conference up in SF with lots of talks, seminars & of course schwag! Also fun to hang out in the city & discover a great place for lunch.
Yuri's Night
April 12th, 2008World wide party celebrating space, science, art, music & technology. Held in & around a big hanger at NASA Ames, Mary & I had a blast checking out all the displays, speakers and performances.
A Nice Spring Dinner
April 6th, 2008Dark quinoa “cake” with asparagus, trumpet royales, shallots and carrots and on a bed of dino kale. All sautéed in olive oil, paired with a lovely chardonnay. A derivation of a dish we had at Millennium.
Wildcat Cabin
March 2nd, 2008A weekend in the Wildcat Cabin at Spooner Lake on the east side of Lake Tahoe. The cabin is isolated, tiny with a wood burning stove, no running water & a composting toilet. In other words, paradise.
Thanksgiving in San Fran
November 22nd, 2007We spent Thanksgiving weekend again cat sitting for a friend in San Francisco (yeah I know, tough job). We had great weather and wandered around The Presidio, Crissy Field, the wave organ & Palace of Fine Arts.
San Francisco Weekend
October 7th, 2007We spent the weekend cat sitting for a friend in San Francisco. We wandered around nearby Clement St., the Sutro bath ruins, the coastal trail, Baker beach, and Ft Mason with the added bonus of an air show over the SF skyline.
