Mudstone is my virtual sketch book. Besides sketches, my sketch books are usually full of notes, ideas, photos that inspire me, whatever. It started out as just mine, but Mary has joined in on the fun and started contributing too, so it’s morphed into ours from mine, and that’s a good change. Its where we share some cool things that were into. Just miscellaneous stuff, kind of like my garage, only a little more organized and on the web.

About Shawn

I’m an artist and I am into many different forms of art. I was primarily a clay artist for many years until I switched my focus to web design. I switched partially due to practical concerns, but I’ve really enjoyed the ride and was ‘bout ready for a change anyway.

I live in the Bay Area (CA), with Mary. We both live to serve a certain cat we call Lucy, HRH.

Art, fire, fire art (the best), kilns, steam engines, kinetic sculpture, web design, code, veganism, food/cooking, restaurants, museums, travel, hiking, yoga, LED poi and “fire” staff, building stuff (DIY/Make Mag), music, living green… there’s more but the list is long enough for now.

Mary is a Orbit mechanic in her day job and somehow puts up with me.
